Market Context — March 2026

⚠️ April 2026 Price Increases Incoming. Federal, CCI, Remington, Blazer, Fiocchi, Speer, and Winchester have all announced 2–12% price increases effective April 1, 2026. If you've been waiting to stockpile, now is the time.

Tariffs are compounding costs. The 10% blanket import tariff, plus 50% on Brazilian imports (Magtech/CBC), 37% on Serbian imports (PPU), and 25% on South Korean imports (PMC) are driving up prices on imported ammunition. Domestic brands are using tariff pressure as cover for their own increases.

7.62x39 is the most-impacted caliber. Russian import bans mean steel-case supply is finite. Once existing stock sells through, expect prices to jump significantly. Brass alternatives from Serbia and Bosnia face 37% tariffs. If you shoot 7.62x39, buy now.

Demand is surging. SGAmmo reports consumer demand running 25–45% above normal in March 2026 as buyers rush to stockpile before April price hikes. This is putting additional pressure on already-rising prices.

How We Track Prices

We monitor prices from major online retailers including SGAmmo, Palmetto State Armory, Ammunition Depot, Brownells, Lucky Gunner, Target Sports USA, and others. "Current Best" reflects the lowest price per round we found at time of update for new-manufacture, brass-cased ammunition in standard configurations. Steel-case and remanufactured ammo are not included in the main table as they serve different use cases.
